Raisin production in the Fresno area began about the same time as Penny Newman, and Penny Newman has long been the farmer’s source for purchasing raisin drying trays. In 1997, Penny Newman began manufacturing trays for use by area raisin farmers. Products include traditional wet-strength and coated trays, and continuous tray rolls for use in dried-on-vine and mechanized raisin harvesting.
